How can I love my forests?
There are many things you can do to Love Your Forests:
- Purchase FSC-certified products. There is a growing range of FSC-certified products available in Australia. Look for the FSC logo on the pack. To find an FSC-certified product or supplier you can also use the FSC database http://info.fsc.org/
- Purchase 100% recycled post-consumer waste paper
- Reduce your consumption of paper and packaging
- Recycle all paper and timber products after use
- Purchase recycled timber products and use recycled timber in your home

How can business help?
Businesses can also be involved in the Love Your Forests campaign.
- If you import, trade or retail timber or paper, move to FSC-certified timber and paper. To get started, see
- Have your corporate publications printed on FSC-certified paper. To find a FSC-certified printer, see: http://www.fscaustralia.org/buy-fsc
- To reduce the environmental footprint of paper production and paper consumption, WWF offers a one-stop paper toolbox to help guide paper producers as well as commercial and individual paper buyers
.http://wwf.panda.org/how_you_can_help/live_green/save_paper/paper_toolbox/
- All business should measure their environmental impact and develop action plans for reducing waste and over-consumption of paper and timber resources. In New South Wales alone, some 600,000 tonnes of paper and cardboard waste is sent to landfill each year. For information about reducing paper use in your Office, see:http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/resources/wrapp/01115officepaper.pdf
- One of the major uses of timber in Australia is for housing construction. A number of Australian governments provide resources and information about sustainable building. See for example:http://www.sustainablebuildingsvic.com.au/
